Chronic Disease Management
Exercise Physiology uses movement and exercise to help prevent and manage chronic health conditions and injuries. Accredited Exercise Physiologists support people to improve their strength, mobility, health and overall wellbeing through tailored exercise programs.
What is Exercise Physiology in Chronic Disease Management?
Exercise Physiology is the study of the body’s acute responses and chronic adaptations to exercise, in particular for those who have chronic illness. We use this knowledge and utilise movement and exercise for the prevention and management of chronic disease or injury and assist individuals to restore their optimal physical function, health or wellness.
Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists use targeted, individualised programs to improve key health markers such as blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, bone density and overall physical function. Whether you're newly diagnosed or managing a long-term condition, we help you take control of your health through safe, structured movement.
We have a program designed specifically for improving bone health?
Our 8-week Bone Builders program is designed to improve bone density, strength, and stability using the latest evidence in exercise science. Bone loss can occur silently over time, increasing the risk of fractures and impacting quality of life. The right dose of exercise - done consistently and correctly - can slow, stop, and even reverse aspects of bone loss.
This program includes a comprehensive initial assessment, 8 weekly group sessions and re-assessment. Contact us to find out more information today.
