JESS BARBER

Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP, AES, ESSAM)

managing director

Special interest areas: Musculoskeletal rehabilitation, strength & conditioning, paediatric exercise interventions

Growing up on the Liverpool Plains I have always enjoyed an active lifestyle and right throughout my school years I knew I would move in to a career in the health industry. While I was originally leaning towards Physiotherapy, I can say I honestly I have no regrets taking the path of Exercise Physiology, with such a broad scope, you can really take it anywhere!

After being in the field for 5 years, I have come to really appreciate the significant difference I can make in a person’s life with just the power of movement. Whether that be helping someone feel more confident and steady on their feet, their ability to play and engage with their grandchildren or simply reduce their pain, movement is a powerful medicine in improving one’s quality of life.

When I am not at work I enjoy being outdoors, at the family farm or on the coast (usually in a surfboat), taking the time to do the things that fill my cup, so I can help others fill theirs throughout the week.

LUCY DAY

Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP, AES, ESSAM)

Special interest areas: musculoskeletal rehabilitation and neurological conditions

I completed my Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of New England and began my journey with 360 Health Clinic in 2019. Since then, I’ve loved every moment of being part of a dedicated team passionate about improving lives through movement and rehabilitation.

One of the highlights of my time with 360 has been helping to open our Gunnedah Clinic and watching it grow into the thriving space it is today. My clinical interests lie primarily in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and more recently, since welcoming our baby girl in early 2025, I’ve developed a growing passion for women’s health and supporting others through similar life stages.

You’ll see me in our clinics working in a part-time capacity at the moment, while enjoying the special time of raising our little girl.

Sunita Reader

Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP, AES, ESSAM)

Currently on maternity leave

Special interest areas: Older adults & falls prevention

Growing up I always loved exercise and playing sport, but didn’t know what I wanted to do when I finished school. Looking at the list of degrees on offer I saw Exercise Physiology and thought it might be interesting. I am so glad that I chose to study Exercise Physiology and have found it really interesting and amazing to see what exercise can do for people.

While studying I was struck by how beneficial exercise can be in managing and preventing chronic conditions and I am so excited to be able to use exercise to help people.

I grew up in Armidale and was keen to stay regional and help people in rural areas and I believe as an Exercise Physiologist I will be able to do this. In my free time I love going for walks, playing soccer and volleyball, but you can also sometimes catch me binging something on Netflix.

DREW RONACHER

ACCREDITED EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST (AEP, aES, ESSAM)

Special Interests: Metabolic Health and Aging Populations

I come from the land down under….more specifically Melbourne.

Growing up and spending time between the coast and the snowy mountains, I have been very active in the sporting field. Dedicating 15+ years to competitive gymnastics and representing Australia at numerous international events. Throughout my sporting career I spent a lot of time with various specialists that would treat my various injuries and niggles. What I know now as a clinician, would have saved my parents a lot of money.

It wasn’t until I did an exchange to Germany that I wanted to pursue a career in gerontology. So landing back in Melbourne, I commenced studies and completed my Master’s at Victoria University. I have been practicing for 7+ years from large companies to small private practices. This has lead me to treating clients with various chronic conditions and ailments. I enjoy the challenge of re-invigorating someone’s love for physical activity, and to help manage their own condition/s and improve their education around it. Which helps impact them positively both in the clinic and in their activities of daily living.

SKYE SYLVESTER

Accredited Exercise PHYSIOLOGIST (aep, AES, ESSAM)

Special interest areas: High Performance Athletes, Injury prevention & rehabilitation

I grew up on a cattle station just outside of Nundle. I went away to boarding school in Sydney and saw all the amazing opportunities and resources people from bigger cities had and it has always inspired me to make the same resources available for people in smaller communities.

I chose to study Exercise Science/Physiology as it focuses largely on improving an individual's life not only for the present but also for their future and helping to make a difference in the lives of others has always been a goal of mine.

I have always loved sport and exercise, I played a number of different sports growing up but have always had a real passion for horse riding which still continues to grow. When I am not at 360 I am usually away competing at horse competitions around NSW and QLD.

My particular interests include active ageing to help the ageing population stay independent and maintain their physical, social and emotional health. I also LOVE instructing Pilates classes, helping participant’s to reach their full potential and challenge their strength and flexibility.

When I’m not chasing my toddler around I like to play netball and help out on our family farm.

JORJA MCMAHON

Trainer & tHERAPY ASSISTANT - lEVEL 2

Before entering the fitness industry I was working as an Early Childhood Educator. Through experience and additional training I took more of an interest in children with additional needs. During this time, I realised how important physical activity was for children and mental health.

I studied my Certificate III in Fitness through TAFE here in Tamworth which led to me joining the 360 team. While working on the Front Desk I was able to complete my Certificate IV in Fitness and began Personal Training and teaching Group Fitness classes. I currently teach Over 50s and Reformer Pilates. Through this I got to know a number of Health Clinic clients and the team, and am now working in the Administration role as well as teaching Group Fitness and 1:1 training sessions.

On the weekend or while I’m not at the gym, you’ll find me being a busy mum to 3 energetic children or going to our family farm.

emily deasey

trainer & therapy assistant Level 2

Special interest areas: Musculoskeletal Prehabilitation and Rehabilitation, Athlete Development
I've always loved exercise and sport, especially swimming and netball, competing at state and national levels. After two major knee injuries requiring surgery in 2019 and 2021, I experienced firsthand the importance of effective rehab and the negative impact of sedentary lifestyle. This sparked my passion for exercise physiology and inspired my love for long-term athlete development, especially for rural youth and the encouragement of exercise even to those who feel they cannot exercise.

Since then, I’ve completed Certificates III & IV in Fitness, Reformer Pilates certification, and I’m now in my third year of Clinical Exercise Physiology, as well as working towards my Level 1 Strength and Conditioning accreditation. Outside of study, you’ll find me in the gym, on the netball court, or at the beach.

Trish Bass

Administration

I grew up in North-West NSW in the small town of Wee Waa. However, I did travel a lot! I have lived in Sydney, Brisbane, Townsville and even London. Prior to joining the team at 360 Health Clinic I had been a hairdresser for the last 20 years.

I was excited to join the 360 Health Clinic after seeing the positive impact that the Veterans Pilates class and exercise physiology sessions had on my husband. It is incredible to witness how the clinic helps a variety of people to improve their quality of life on day to day basis.

FAQs

  • What is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist?

Exercise Physiology, or EP, is the study of the body’s acute responses and chronic adaptations to exercise and how this affects our physical and mental health. Through this knowledge, an Exercise Physiologist is the best positioned allied health professional to prescribe exercise as medicine for any number of chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, arthritis, mental health, cancer, chronic pain and many more. They also play a key role in musculoskeletal rehabilitation following injury or surgery and can assist people living with a disability better manage their health and maintain their independence.

A common question asked is ‘ how does that differ from a Physiotherapist?’ While there are similarities, a Physiotherapist’s training has much more emphasis on the assessment and diagnosis of disease and injury with treatment focused around the acute reduction of symptoms generally with a more “hands-on” approach. An EP’s role tends to focus more around increasing the individual’s functional capacity, improving quality of life and the long term management of symptoms utilising exercise and movement to generate therapeutic outcomes.

  • What is an Accredited Exercise Scientist?

In addition to this, they have a deeper understanding of the effect exercise has on the PREVENTION of injury and chronic health conditions.

Within 360 Health Clinic our Accredited Exercise Scientists work closely with our Accredited Exercise Physiologists to provide a continuum of care for our clients, whether that be through ongoing supervised exercise sessions, or progression in to group programs.
